Samsung has officially set a date for the Galaxy S24 series launch. We’ve seen tons of leaks regarding the launch date and Samsung has confirmed them. It’s happening on January 17, 2024. We will see the introduction of the Galaxy S24 series powered by Galaxy AI.
The launch event will begin at 10:00 a.m. Pacific time, which is about 1 p.m. Eastern Time or 11:30 p.m. in India. This also means that countries like South Korea, China, and Australia will see the event happening on January 18.
The Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus, and Galaxy S24 Ultra will see big changes in terms of design, display, and processor department. Compared to last year’s Galaxy S23 series, which were great phones, the biggest change Samsung has introduced is the One UI 6.1 software with Samsung’s own generative AI features. It will offer Samsung’s AI capabilities such as better Zoom nighttime photos, live translation during calls, other cool AI features and a bunch of software optimizations.
The whole Galaxy S24 series is already leaked in full and we know all the specs, features, and most of the AI features. You can check out my recent article on that or you can check out my videos on that. I will link them down below.
Now for the price, the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus will be cheaper in Europe, but the Galaxy S24 Ultra will be slightly more expensive in Europe. However, in other countries like the US and China, it will actually stay the same as the Galaxy S23 series, which is pretty cool.
This year, there is also going to be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 variant for the base Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus inside the US and Canada, other markets will see Exynos 2400 chip powering them. In every single market, the Galaxy S24 Ultra will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. This is a big chip upgrade over the last year’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset.
Also, the early birds can get $50 off of their new Galaxy until January 16 if they want to book them right now. They can do it from the Samsung.com or Samsung Shop application. For those who opt in for their reserve credit, they will be able to redeem their credit once they pre-order the Galaxy S24 models.
