Apple has officially announced the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. They are the most expensive new iPhones yet, with prices starting at $999 for the 6.1-inch iPhone 15 Pro with 128GB of storage and $1,199 for the iPhone 15 Pro Max with 256GB of storage. Here is a look at the top new features for both the Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max and iPhone 15 Pro.
The Action button
The iPhone has always featured a mute button, but the iPhone 15 Pro finally gets rid of it. The Action button has taken the position of the switch. Simply press and hold the button to toggle between ring and quiet by default, exactly like the switch did. In the Dynamic Island, you’ll experience animation and tactile feedback.
However, you may programme the button to start the camera, record audio, enable an accessibility function, or execute a shortcut. really cool
Design changes
Apple has replaced the stainless steel body with Grade 5 Titanium, bonded to an aluminum internal structure. This should be just as durable if not more while still being lighter.The edge of this titanium frame is also slightly curved for added comfort. Aside from that the rear panel can be easily be removed from the frame to make the repairs easier than past models. Black titanium, White titanium, Blue titanium, and Natural titanium are some of the new colours that come with new materials. There is a new brushed texture in every colour.
DISPLAY of the iPhone 15 Pro Max
Apple has reduced the bezels around the display, too. The display is still 6.1 inches for the Pro model and 6.7 inches for the Pro Max, but the body of the phone has shrunk a little due to the smaller bezels. These phones will continue to have pro motion and always on display as pro model exclusive features.However, the maximum brightness is still 2000 nits outside, the same as the iphone 14 pro versions. The smaller body and titanium enclosure make this the lightest Pro iPhone ever. The iPhone 15 Pro weighs 187 gms, while the Pro Max weighs 221 gms. Compare that to 206 gms and 240gms for the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max, respectively. In fact, this year’s Pro models weigh only about 10 percent more than the non-Pro models.
USB C on the iPhone 15 Pro Max
Apple is replacing the Lightning connector with USB-C on all iPhone 15 models, as was previously reported. It’s a speedier USB 3 connection with up to 10 Gbps of bandwidth on the Pro and Pro Max. This enables you to shoot ProRes video at up to 4K 60FPS for the first time directly to an external disc.
A17 Pro processor
The addition of “Pro” to the name raises the intriguing possibility that the A17 may be available in non-Pro versions for the non-Pro iPhones next year. In order to boost efficiency and enable Apple to raise the transistor count to 19 billion (vs. 16 billion in the A16 Bionic), the A17 Pro is the first 3nm chip in a significant consumer device. The four high-efficiency CPU cores are likewise quicker, and the two high-performance cores are now 10% faster. The CPU is paired with a 6-core GPU that uses an entirely new shader architecture. It offers 20% faster peak performance and better energy efficiency, according to Apple. A new second-generation U2 Ultra Wideband chip that is more accurate at a larger distance and gives you the choice to share your specific position with your friends and family has been added by Apple to the wireless side along with Wi-Fi 6E and Thread networking.
Camera upgrades
Apple says the new camera system in the iPhone 15 Pro is “the equivalent of 7 camera lenses in their pocket.”. The new main camera gets a new anti-glare lens coating and better night mode quality thanks to the A17 Pro. The new 48MP primary camera, which has an f/1.78 aperture, is bigger than the one on the iPhone 15. In addition to 48MP in bright light, it also takes a new default 24MP image, just as the iPhone 15. ProRes is still supported, as well. That new 24MP mode can use different areas of the image sensor to produce three different zoom levels: equivalent to 24mm, 28mm, and 35mm lenses. A 2x zoom crop mode uses the center 12MP for the 48mm equivalent. The telephoto camera on the iPhone 15 Pro is an improved 12MP camera, still with a 3x zoom (or 77mm equivalent). But the iPhone 15 Pro Max gets a new “tetra prism” periscope lens that bounces light four times internally for a longer focal length: 120mm, or a 5x zoom. It still has advance OIS. With digital zoom the iPhone 15 pro max can zoom upto 25x, whereas the pro will be restricted to 15x.And with “next-generation portraits,” to adjust the focus and bokeh effect after you snap a pic at 1x or even 2x, even if you haven’t switched to Portrait mode.
Price and availability
The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max have starting prices of $999 and $1199, respectively, and provide 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB of storage space for the pro model. However, the Pro max starts at 256GB. Next Friday is the day to place an order for the new iPhone 15 Pro models, which will begin arriving on September 22 and become available at Apple Stores the following day.
